Swimming Pool Balconies…So Cool!

For those of you who especially love fun and creative things, the concept of swimming pool balconies is both innovative and a little scary. This is where a swimming pool is on the outer part of an apartment balcony or a deck balcony, and the outer wall of the swimming pool is clear glass/plastic/fiber glass and you can see down into the city below while you are swimming around under the water. Winter Preparation for Your Growing Things

When you are preparing your personal garden or even your farm crops for the next spring, you must prepare the plants and soil properly for the coming winter months. When Will It End, Already?

If you have devoted your entire life to ecological sustainability, then at some point you may find yourself frustrated with what seems like slow progression. It is of course best to have local feed available for your animals, but it is not always possible.

Thirdly, animals raised for meat also have to be fed, and this is usually imported from a great distance so while meat itself is sustainable, non-sustainable resources may be being used for production of this meat. Grass fed meat is becoming more and more popular, but industrially produced meat is still the majority of the beef and chicken on the market today.

Bamboo Cathedrals: Green Fine Art

The bamboo cathedral in question is, in fact, not a cathedral, although the shape is similar and thus it acquired the name. It is a cacao bar manufacturer in Indonesia, the first chocolate bar maker of its kind in that country, and the entire operation uses only 50% of non-renewable energy. In fact, the owner pulled in an old factory grinder that used to grind cacao beans and he now uses it for his cacao beans. The 50% of renewable energy comes from vegetable oil, and he is looking to install some type of solar rooftop device which will power the plant entirely and take his entire operation off of the grid. The operation is in Indonesia and, when watching the video, it seems as if the building is not exactly air-tight, so it begs the question of how much rain the area receives and whether or not there are inner paneling which can be sealed up in times of wetness.
