Sustainable Supply Chain and Carbon Management Statement

Envirosafe Solutions is an Australian B2B distributor of industrial liquid products. We aim to manage our operations and supply chain efficiently while providing customers with clear, supportable information about product performance, safety and environmental characteristics.

Where practical, products are shipped directly from the manufacturer or supplier to the customer. This can reduce unnecessary handling, secondary warehousing and additional freight legs. Actual transport impacts vary depending on the product, delivery distance, order size, carrier and transport method.

Understanding Our Emissions

Greenhouse gas emissions are commonly classified into three categories:

Scope 1 — Direct emissions

Emissions from sources owned or controlled by Envirosafe Solutions, such as fuel used in company-operated vehicles or equipment.

Scope 2 — Purchased energy

Indirect emissions associated with electricity or other energy purchased for our business operations.

Scope 3 — Supply-chain emissions

Other indirect emissions associated with our activities, including product manufacturing, packaging, purchased goods, third-party freight, waste and other upstream or downstream activities.

As a distributor, we expect a substantial proportion of our potential emissions impact to occur within our supply chain. Envirosafe Solutions has not currently published a verified full Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas inventory. We will not represent estimated environmental benefits as independently verified unless appropriate evidence is available.

Our Supply Chain Approach

1. Efficient Logistics

We use direct-to-customer delivery where practical and seek to avoid unnecessary handling, warehousing and duplicated freight movements.

2. Supplier and Product Assessment

When assessing suppliers and products, we consider factors including:

  • product performance and concentration;
  • recommended dilution and usable yield;
  • packaging and pack size;
  • manufacturing location;
  • safety and environmental documentation;
  • freight requirements;
  • supplier quality and environmental-management systems.

ISO 9001 relates to quality management. Where relevant information is available, we also consider environmental-management systems such as ISO 14001.

3. Responsible Environmental Claims

We aim to ensure that environmental and sustainability claims are clear, specific and supported by available evidence.

Where reliable data is unavailable, we will state that no reliable data is currently available rather than make an unsupported claim.

4. Product and Transport Efficiency

Concentrated products may reduce the amount of packaged product transported for a given amount of usable solution. Any comparison should consider the recommended dilution rate, pack size, usable volume, application requirements and freight distance.

Australian-made products may reduce reliance on international freight, but total environmental impact also depends on raw materials, manufacturing processes, packaging, transport and product use.

Support for Customer Procurement and Reporting

Subject to availability, Envirosafe Solutions can provide information such as:

  • Safety Data Sheets;
  • Technical Data Sheets;
  • Pack sizes;
  • Dilution rates;
  • Usable product yield;
  • Manufacturing location;
  • Supplier certifications;
  • Available freight and supply-chain information.

Supplier-specific emissions or life-cycle data may not be available for every product. Where information has not been independently verified, this will be made clear.

Review
